On a recent visit by Pat to Rachel’s show, he expressed a great many of his thoughts and beliefs with little or no time for debate, or for Rachel to correct some statements he’d made which had no basis in truth. Of course, the cause for discussion was the upcoming Sonia Sotomayor decision, something which all angry white males would like to think is entirely a result of Affirmative Action, and not hard scholastic work, plus hours on the job.
Tonight Rachel performs a calm but beautiful smack down of statements made by Buchanan which are harmful to individuals and the country at large, why…because Pat feels white european men have been discriminated against, and therein lies your reason for foot dragging, and outright lies about Sonia Sotomayor!
This is well worth watching. In the now infamous show, Pat, speaking for millions of cranky white men makes several outright false statements about every racial group who built this country. (don’t mention that to Pat, he feels it was built
entirely by white folks). It’s easy to forget slave labor, and shamefully easy to forget large numbers of men of all colors who fought and died in every war from the civil war, on both sides, through the present, and in-between when despite segregation they fought valiantly.
Oh….but Pat heart hasn’t always been hardened. In fact, he was for Affirmative Action once! Yes indeedy, this is a real Must See! A memo has been uncovered from Pat, to then President Nixon asking him to consider replacing "jews and blacks" in the Supreme Court with an over-looked minority group which he strongly feels deserve and need a break to get a foot in the door. See Rachel Maddow, you won’t be disappointed!
