John Oliver asks us to reach across time and space to help locate a lost kitty cat for Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, because even though the man is a war criminal and a vicious murderer, he loves his wussy cat. Ramzan’s love of animals is well-known, from snakes to ostriches and crocodiles, he is crazy about ’em – people, not so much. It’s alleged that up to 75% of recent incidents of torture, rape and kidnapping in Chechnya have been committed by Ramzan’s paramilitary forces. It just goes to show you, that even the toughest nut can have a soft center, and critters turn Kadyrov’s stone heart to mush. I only hope the cat wasn’t ‘napped in retaliation for Kadyrov’s brutality.
John has a fantastic plan. As he says, we need to find this man’s cat and we need to do it today!
