I am sure you too are upset about how poorly we treat our billionaires. That it is little different than how the Nazi’s treated the Jews. Though I am having a bit of trouble figuring out just what it is and who it is that have done billionaires wrong. I guess it was someone on MSNBC, probably that Al Sharpton who said bad things about them. And you know well that when bad things are said about a group of people, the next step is gas and ovens. With that said, it’s a wonder illegal immigrants, African Americans, moochers and the unemployed are not on their way to concentration camps. Oops, I was just informed that tens of thousands of illegal immigrants and their families are being held in concentration camps.
Last night on Bill Mayer, Bill gave the leader of today’s House on unAmerican Activities leader Republican Darrell Issa a free ride. In fact Bill Mayer even let Issa go on this issue.The Republican argument is the evil of taking all the money away from Bill Gates,the Koch Brothers and the richest man in congress, Darrell Issa. That it is fascism, socialism and communism and will only hurt the poor.
This is the same Republican straw man they use for many of their arguments. They want to take everyone’s gun away! They want to kill all the babies! They want take Jesus away from everyone! No one is saying take all of anything from anyone. Rather some are saying let’s take a little more in taxes away from those who need the money the least. Not enough to upset the gold urinals on their yachts or the islands they own in the Caribbean. But enough so we can better help those losing their jobs, losing their homes, dying from having no health insurance and the increase of so many finding it harder and harder to get through each month. Or I suppose we could hunt them down and chop off their heads. That worked once for awhile.
Something this medium taught me long ago back in the 80’s when this was all BBS’s and discussion groups. It is a waste of time debating, or trying to change or enlighten those who work from the premise that community means communism and that magic is the rational truth. So rather than play the game from their false premises, my advice is to just relax, play to those in the background, get your licks in and move on. Sage advice for both this medium and the real world. Engaging them is just banging your head against the wall.
