If you’re a New Yorker and Mayor Bloomberg’s proclamation regarding the size of your soft drink container is high on your irritation list, you may be ready to implode – if you’re a smoker too!
The Mayor, who is vice-free himself – I presume, sees no reason why you can’t all realize that he’s trying to make life better for you. It should be easy to follow his directives and “Just Don’t!” (whatever it is you enjoy) Bloomberg should have picked his battles. I firmly believe that if Bloomberg invented a cheap, easy to implement alternative energy source tomorrow – he would only be remembered as the anti-Big Gulp Mayor.
If those “Vice-selling death merchants” (or small business owners, as they’re sometimes called) suffer financially – well, there is a price we must all pay. If you feel above it all, with neither a smoke or a Coke habit, perhaps you’ll be more interested when your snack food habit comes under scrutiny…And you know the day is coming, or perhaps it has arrived?
