Breath of Fresh Air
Thank you, Jonah Goldberg, for your column "New technology offers best solution ot climate woes" (page B9, Thursday). And thank you, Houston Chronicle, for finally printing another view besides those of the depreciating, shame-on-all- Thomas Friedman, who has an irritating and every-growing admiration for a particular communist republic. That constant negative whining offers nothing new. We all know what he’s about, so whny should we even bother reading his rants? Than you, Jonah Goldberg, for having the guts to speak out against the climate farce! It’s like a breath of fresh air.

What is Thomas Friedman about I wonder? I suppose that would be turing American into a communist state modeled upon Red China – because he recently said China was now giving credence to climate change and investing heavily into energy solutions. Oh the horror…
Any doubt that this Tea Party shnitwit doesn’t accept evolution either? The real horror is that THESE KIND OF PEOPLE vote, especially in off year elections after they lose a big one.
2010 will indeed see these shnitwits crawling out from under their trailers and putting down their Keystone and guns long enough to go vote, come Hell or Highwater. While those who got so emotionally involved voting last year are going to stay home and watch The Cleveland Show.
But come 2012 the GOP choices will be either the torture/war faction of Dick Cheney or the shnitwit/tea party faction of Sarah Palin.
A little background on Jonah Goldberg….
Jonah Goldberg is the son of Lucianne Goldberg who began her career as a political spy for Richard Nixon infiltrating the McGovern campaign. She went on to final fame as the conduit between Linda Tripp and Matt Drudge to break the Monica Lewinsky story. The last we saw of her was as a regular guest on the very short lived Matt Drudge Show on Fox News. If this fails to connect the dots as to just what Lucianne Goldberg is, close your eyes and imagine Ann Coulter 40 years from now. There ya go. Well, so much for the Second Commandment of putting the sins of the fathers’ upon the children for three generations. That one needs to be carved into the walls of every courtroom in America! Do these people ever actually read those things?
Jonah Goldberg is a syndicated columnist because his mother made calls. And believe you me, the last thing anyone wants to do is cross Lucianne Goldberg. Jonah could have made his new very silly book, Liberal Fascism: The Totalitarian Temptation: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning much shorter and far more appropriate with the title My Mother the Fascist.
[The silliness of all this is that Goldberg gets the definition of fascism
all wrong. Fascism is the sharing of power between the Military,
corporate leaders, and the Church under the control of an all powerful
charismatic strongman. The direct opposite of what he contends in this
very silly book in which he defines fascism as organic farming, environmentalism, multi-culturialism and Hillary Clinton.]
Like Rush Limbaugh, Jonah Goldberg’s commentaries are mostly about his visceral hatred of liberals and all that is liberal. What sets him apart is his mix of Right-wing Libertarian prater and Neo-conservative blather. As you can see from the video interview, his slovenly overweight appearance fits well with the attractive crowd he and his mother hang with.
