Thrashing through the snow with heavy metal veterans Megadeth may not have been what Jenny Lewis had in mind when she agreed to sing a duet to “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” on Jimmy Kimmel. Lewis appeared to improvise the lyrics somewhat mid-song; “I’ve got to go away…no seriously, I have to go away, I’m scared.”
It was all in good fun. Megadeth appeared on Jimmy Kimmel in a sketch promoting their soon-to-be-released Christmas album, “Thrashing Through the Snow: A Very Megadeth Christmas,” which exists only in nightmares.
If metal isn’t your thing, take comfort in knowing that even Megadeth fails to appear scary or cool in a Christmas Sweater. No one does. I suspect that even George Clooney, 007 and ‘The Most Interesting Man in the World’ would resemble Clark Griswald in one of those puppies.
