Tiring of hearing adults yammer on about the upcoming election, Jimmy Kimmel convened a delightfully UN-focused group of kids, to hear what they had to say about the current crop of presidential candidates. Jimmy’s segments with kids are always a treat, and this one is no exception.
If you’ve watched any of Jimmy’s on-the-street opinion gathering segments with adults, you may be discomfited to find the kids aren’t necessarily less informed than many adults. This group of shorties has a refreshing honesty and endless curiosity, that always makes these encounters a treat even for the most jaded cats among us.
Jimmy first holds up photos of the candidates for the kids to identify. It’s immediately obvious that Fox isn’t the network of choice in the homes of these kids. Shown a photo of Hillary Clinton one girl insists it is Martha Washington, while others know it is Hillary who is described as “nice” and “very sharing.” We hope George Clooney and Donald Trump are watching. When the latter’s photo is shown, one myopic child chimes up “George Clooney!” Things get truly weird from here.
To conclude, Jimmy gives the panel a few moments to question him on a wide range of topics. Apparently there is nothing Jimmy does not know, which is why this focus panel plans to cast their ballots ‘tomorrow’ for Jimmy Kimmel. They could do a lot worse.
