The US vs Germany World Cup game came on at 9AM for those of us here on the West Coast, which meant that bars all over LA were packed that morning with soccer fans. Jimmy sent a camera crew to a local German bar called The Red Lion Tavern and used the opportunity to ask the fans there “Are you already hammered?” As it turns out, most fans were not drinking their morning coffee while watching the match. The bar motto might well have been “In by 8 – Hammered by 9” when you get a look at the giant beer steins in evidence!
Can you tell who has been indulging to excess? Okay, it is 9 o’clock AM, Normally, anything much stronger than a Bloody Mary might be considered excessive at that time of day, but this is no ordinary day for fans. While all admit to ‘rockin’ a giant stein’ as one fan puts it; how many of the following folks do you believe are all the way hammered, with nowhere to go for the rest of the long day, but to gradually sober up or continue on to Sloppy Drunk Town?
