At that time, Cassidy promised: No individual or family would be denied coverage. No lifetime caps. Preexisting conditions – irrelevant. The premiums would be lower than we currently have under Obamacare.In other words, it would be exactly what we have now, but with lower premiums. Nothing could be further from the truth! In fact, we would lose all of the advantages we have with Obamacare, and tens of millions would lose care.
I think it’s worth noting that many of us will learn what a tremendous scam this is, thanks to a late night host. Republicans have counted upon the boring nature of healthcare, secrecy and bald-face lies to get funds to give tax breaks to the wealthy.
A very long, inclusive list of health organizations, like the American Cancer Association and the March of Dimes is spreading the word that the plan the GOP has hatched and pressed on the American people with bald faced lies – is the worst thing that can happen. I don’t know how Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy sleep at night – probably because we provide the best insurance for them…But we all need to contact our Congressperson and put a stop to this madness.
