Jimmy observes that Black Friday has become almost as much an American tradition as Thanksgiving itself. It might be argued that it has surpassed Thanksgiving, so devoted are shoppers to the adrenaline rush and the thrill of victory! You can’t get that online. We know this, because all of the Black Friday shoppers have already purchased boatloads of computers.
Only in America do people go out do battle over ‘things’ on the very day of – or day after, they were supposedly grateful for everything they had. Are we in danger of losing the true meaning of Black Friday?
