Jimmy Kimmel welcomes Muppet stars Kermit and Miss Piggy, who discuss their recent breakup, and talk about their new TV show, which is causing conservatives to lose their pin-headed minds! But first, let’s catch up with Kermit and Miss Piggy. You know they’ve suffered an acrimonious split, right? Well, Kermit’s attractive, young new flame, whom he describes as “old enough, but not as old as she could be” lacks the star quality of a certain someone, in my humble opinion.Can it possibly last?
The squabbling Muppet duo will be spending a lot of time together in their new show “Up Late” starring Miss Piggy, directed by Kermit, and co-starring all of the Muppet crew. It will be a late night talk show – within a show, hosted by Miss Piggy, in which she says she will do “basically what Jimmy does, but better and in high heels.” The fact that it is a parody of a talk show is important when we broach the topic of the group which objects so very much. The show premiers tonight on ABC! Watch it – if you DARE!
A group called “One Million Moms” have launched a campaign to bully ABC into pulling the puppet smut, which they claim is “perverted.” The Moms are “shocked” that the characters are not exactly the same as they were in the seventies. The characters have grown, they’ve evolved. Then again, if you haven’t changed your hairstyle since 1977, it IS ‘shocking’ when other things progress and move along.
Although the show has not yet aired, the group complains; “It appears that no subject is off limits.” Hint: they are portraying a late night talk show; but the Henson brand has yet to sully a young mind.
The website further whines about Muppets weighing in on abortion and promiscuity. Of course the show has yet to air, how do they know this, are they psychic? Apparently the fertile reactionaries presume much from ads. In one such ad, Kermit says; “It’s sort of an adult Muppet show.” Another ad reads, “Finally, a network TV show with full frontal nudity.” (GASP!) Kermit, after all – is a frog, and didn’t wear pants in the 70’s either. Gotcha moms! Uh oh. Here comes bestiality, just as we were warned, when gays got the right to marry! Word is that Fozzie Bear has a relationship with a – human woman, and Miss Piggy will be dating, be warned.
I particularly love this one. ‘Moms’ complained about the ‘lack of clothing on some of the Muppets.’ The group of grown women DO know that the Muppets are puppets…(Basically furry fabric and rug scraps) and are in no way anatomically correct?
It’s time to stop inhaling laundry additive ladies.
The only way to be certain to avoid corruption according to the group is to block it. Just nip it in the bud. I quote the site, “Many parents unknowingly will let their children watch an episode only to find out its perverted nature too late, unless they are altered ahead of time.” ‘
Way to go ladies! Prudently judge before you watch an episode, and avoid the chance that producers are addressing those ‘perverted’ topics in a sensitive, yet humorous manner. Then again, perhaps it is an adult show, which many other people would enjoy. I object to your group terrorizing ABC, and presuming to censor what I and others who aren’t infected by your particular brand of mania can choose to view. It’s not always about you!
