With Hillary Clinton as his guest, Jimmy Kimmel assembled a small group of youngsters to sit down for a delightful chat about gender and politics. Jimmy’s segments with kids are always popular because he has such good rapport with the shorties; and this ‘unfocused focus group’ is no exception.
With two girls and two boys, the group discusses ‘girl presidents’ and why we haven’t had one in this country. The fear of a pink White House seems to loom large. Some imagine the female commander-in-chief would be too busy decorating to lead the troops into battle…This is a new job description, but a president who actually fought, might limit declarations of war.
If our best hope for equality is our next generation, this group – adorable as they are, shows we may have a bit of work to do. I just hope that one kid doesn’t think he’ll be getting free toys if Hillary wins!
