While introducing this video, “The Collected Wisdom of Pat Robertson” Jimmy Kimmel reminds us that however unnerving the current crop of presidential candidates may be, Pat Robertson was a weird, scary candidate long before presidential ambition was a gleam in Marco Rubio’s eye. It seems like only yesterday that the ‘700 Club’ host threw his hat into the ring. In truth, it was 1988 when Pat Robertson offered America the benefit of his wisdom and leadership.
Pat is – and has always been generous in sharing his profound insight into the human condition with anyone who would ask – and a few who exist only as made-up questions on ‘The 700 Club.’ Thinking of decades of accumulated wisdom, I have to wonder if we were right in turning Pat down at the polls? I also wonder why Pat blames most of man’s ills on vegetables? How does Pat know so much about exotic dancers and related professions? Does anyone know why Pat has such a bean fixation?
