Jon Sewart, Tea Party Congressman Trey Radel pledes guilty to cocaine possession

trey radel cocaineFlorida Freshman congressman Tea Party Republican Trey Radel plead guilty yesterday to buying an eight-ball from an undercover cop. He was sentenced to probation and has taken a leave of absence.

He blames this problem on alcohol. This of course is worse than Toronto’s freshman conservative Mayor Rob Ford who was only SEEN doing cocaine, which is not a crime. Why has Rob Ford become the most pilloried man in the world and Trey Radel is just taking a rest has everything to do with the microphone of “brutal truth.”  No one likes to hear the “brutal truth”.

There also seems to be little if any hypocrisy in anything Mayor Rob Ford does. While on the other hand Tea Party Trey Radel has backed a law to drug test everyone applying for food stamps. When opponents say then we should also drug test congressman, it is met with laughter.

Drug testing the poor is one of the most poorly thought out issues of your time. Most food from food stamps goes to feed children, and if the children’s parents test positive, the innocent children don’t eat. What a good idea. Whose idea is that again? Oh yes, a Tea Party idea. And a Tea Party coke head idea.
