I know one of the causes of the CNN FAIL. Jon Stewart who went after CROSSFIRE so well that CNN pulled the show. Other than international news, it was why I watched CNN. Since they killed the show, it’s been a steady downhill slide.
I think that’s were CNN should go. The channel of both sides fighting it out fairly. Which was what Crossfire was. For a half hour everyday one could hear and see both sides of every issue presented in a REAL fair and balanced manner. What’s the matter with that? Stewart claimed it was a shout match, and angry and didn’t advance the discussion. BULLSHIT. All that came out of that was Tucker Carleton got defined as a clown and is still trying to recover.
Look at Wolf Blitzer. He has to be the most UNCOOL man in the media. They do have Anderson Cooper who is cool though. He should be moving out soon. It seems to me from their point of few, CNN would be best served to just rename HLN to CNN and have an international channel to compete with the new Al Jazeera.
