Still gun crazy after all these years.
Speaking of emotions… I am always quick to present the altruism issue. That the whole problem is the conservative biology of being unable to stand inside someone elses’ shoes to have a look around.
Much like the Gun Enthusiasts response to Sandy Hook. They could care less about 20 dead six year olds. Not having to sign something at a gun show to buy a gun is more important to them than even a million gun deaths in America since 1970. YOUR kids are not of any interest to conservatives, only their own kids. And down the sewer that reasoning goes to embrace all things. My heath care not your health care. My job not your job. My taxes not your taxes. My benefits not your benefits. And on it goes, America’s Christian party at odds with everything Christianity stands for.
So try and put yourself in the shoes of a Gun Enthusiast. We have to at least try with these five starters:
Accept Ted Nugent, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin as the smartest people in America.
Believe that in your lifetime you will have to shoot and kill American soldiers led by socialist Negroes and Yankee Liberals.
That having a house full of guns and ammunition makes your house safe especially for children.
That you are smarter than everyone in New York, London, Paris, Harvard, Cambridge and the Nobel Laureates combined.
That fear, paranoia and hate so dominate your life that guns become the most important facet of your existence.
Once you can get those five issues under your belt, you will be on your way to an understanding of what being a gun enthusiast is all about. But I bet you can’t get past even three of them before you want to shoot yourself…
