That Republican Congressman Peter King is leading the first Congressional Committee in American history to investigate a specific religion, that he himself supported CATHOLIC terrorists, and that he is the Whitest man in Congress all go without saying.
But as Jon Stewart points out, it is that lay down and roll over aspect of Democratic politics that is so disheartening. But some finally did stand up in Wisconsin recently. They lost the battle of course (vilified workers and teachers are no match for the beloved Koch Brothers) but at least they put up a fight. And who knows what affect it may have upon the coming election in 2012.
