Much has been said about how CBS choosing Stephen Colbert to replace David Letterman is a purely political move that will destroy CBS. Much has been said about how he will do with the Late Night competition. But nothing has been said about why Jon Stewart didn’t get the job instead.
I know why! Jon Stewart is a very witty liberal who with his writers affect politics. Stephen Colbert is a very funny liberal who is an actor, a comedian and promotes music and celebrity. Take if from someone who knows, funny is a lot harder than witty.
Thought Republicans hate Stephen Colbert for making fun of them, had CBS picked Jon Stewart the complaints about CBS losing the Heartland could very well end up true.
