A little research finds that Aaron Schock has been spending lots of taxpayer money on himself for a very long time. He seems to get away with it because he’s young and lookin’ good. He has gotten away with it so far anyway, for as Jon Stewart reminds us haters hate and voters vote.
The problem with that is his district is Peoria, Illinois which is a very conservative district where Representative Shock plays right to the Base; Pro Live, anti Gay Marriage, voted against the Dream Act, voted to repeal Affordable Care Act 56 times and so on.
So you can bet how this will play in Peoria. What’s a little graft and spending their tax money on himself compared to keeping homos, Mexicans, lazy bums and baby murderers at bay? In 2014 with most of this graft already known he got 70% of the vote.
