Jordan Klepper, praying for dollars

I can’t help but wonder how this would play if an atheist owner of a dinner charged those who prayed abd extra 15% for breakfast. How many months would the bleating on Fox News and talk radio go?

Jordan Klepper, praying for dollarsHere we have Daily Show atheist Jordan Klepper on the attack against Dan Barker and the Freedom From Religion Foundation. The FFRF is stationed in Madison, Wisconsin where hat little praying goes on in this liberal college town is for the most part about beer and football. And also keep in mind it is often too cold to pray.

Choosing this battle was a big mistake for the FFRF. There are a few lessons here for the FFRF to keep in mind.

First off, nobody likes a smartypants. Especially when they come from college and university areas. It’s like “studies”, nobody likes studies, they go counter to our gut feelings.

Also it is best to leave praying alone. Praying is a human condition much like worrying. It’s a way of showing the public and those nearby how much we care. Praying, blessing and praising are nice things to do in public to pretend one is a lot nicer than one really is. God bless everyone at the Dairy Queen. See?

Also in defense of praying…

If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia. Thomas Szasz

Remember, atheists are now the most hated group in America.

I would disapprove if my child wanted to marry a member of this group….

    Atheist: 47.6%

    Muslim: 33.5%

    African-American 27.2%

    Asian-Americans: 18.5%

    Hispanics: 18.5%

    Jews: 11.8%

    Conservative Christians: 6.9%

    Whites: 2.3%

I just noticed that that top number of Americans who would not want their children to marry and atheist is the same number, 47% of Americans who believe the Earth is less than 10,000 years old. This of course means that Jonathan Gruber was dead wrong about the American voter being stupid. Only 47% of American are stupid. But wait!  That 47% vote far more than others, so it is safe to say that the majority of American voters are dumber than mud. We want to be truthful and fair here. No hyperbole, no belittlement, no hypocrisy. Well in relation to Fox News and talk radio anyway.

They are even more reviled than men dressed up as women taking a pee in a ladies room at the airport.

Article 1, Section 4, the Texas Constitution states: “No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office, or public trust, in this State; nor shall any one be excluded from holding office on account of his religious sentiments, provided he acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being.”

What a silly sentence that is, let me tell  you.  There will be no religious test except for this one bigass religious test. And what about the  “her”?  And so much for Buddhists. Does that cover Hindus who have supreme beings but not A supreme being? And what about Kwanzaa? Gee I hope no one would make fun of that religion.

And of course it’s not just Texas. I bet you could guess what other states probably have much the same thing to say.  Hints: Spanish moss, kudzu, okra, hurricanes, chicken fried steak, Cracker Barrel, obesity and Paula Deen. Boy those last two go together like butter and big booty.
