I just heard from the Texas White crowd how much they love this on every level, especially the rendition of a black man as an animal and of course the unexpected ending.
But the Texas White crowd does have a big complaint. I am sure you have guessed what it is. A matter of political correctness in that white comedians could not get away with doing this, which in turn makes African Americans the real racists in America. You know, 200 years of slavery, 100 years of apartheid and over 50 years of defacto discrimination in education, justice and economics don’t count. Oops, forgot the lynchings.
I do wonder how White comedians could do this. Blackface I suppose, which is okay. And if they were on a liberal show like SNL, they could get away with it Blackface or not. No, it’s only when Republicans who have no like for African Americans do it that there is a problem.
But please keep in mind, that the anger over Political Correctness, which I believe has been the driving force of moving moderates over to the dark side, is all about defending bigotry, homophobia, sexism and racism on a personal level. And remember, not only the Constitution, but Jesus as well gives everyone the right to celebrate their bigotry, homophobia, sexism and racism as loud and as joyously as they wish. This is America after all.
