We all know the road is rocky during the wonderful teen years. This father may have taken extreme action – or did he? He seems genuinely surprised by what his 15-year-old daughter wrote on Facebook, where she erroneously thought only her friends could see it.
One might assume that this is the first indication he’s had that his daughter is lacking in respect. If so – where has he been for 15 years?
I’ve grinched before about the futility of communicating with someone who is plugged into and literally sleeps with a device 24/7 but has no time for picking up her own clothes. This father must have given some thought to middle of the night feedings, and the worry that comes with raising your young when he read the following venting, which is but a small part of the total that poor overworked Hannah wrote!
Hannah wrote,"The next time I have to pour a cup of coffee I’m gonna flip crap!" Further to her parents she promised.
"I’m gonna hate to see the day when you get too old to wipe your ass, I won’t be there." It goes on and on. As a childless adult, I’m having to re-think the wisdom of having no one on call for that little chore.
Some people who commented on Youtube say he was too harsh, others that he was too invasive, and of course some hear the pain in his voice and agree with his actions, what say you? The destruction via gun is a no-brainer, heaven knows there aren’t enough legal reasons to discharge a fire-arm in any given day. I do not however, recommend target practice as a father-daughter activity for this pair.
