Most absurdly, the drought where many cities are only days away from a complete and total lack of water, is perceived by the wealthy as a sign to use MORE water! Asked by Gov. Brown to conserve and ration, residents of Rancho Santa Fe used more water than before. We can now put to rest all of the speculation that the wealthy put their pants on one leg at a time, they are no different from anyone else. It’s not true!
A resident, when asked by The Post about the city’s puzzling refusal to conserve, stated his perfect disconnect and lack of understanding, saying:
“We can use as much water as we want, because we can afford to pay for it.”
