“No Josh, all children have to be protected from dangerous hypocrites like you,” Larry Wilmore sassing back Josh Duggar Executive Director of the Evangelical Christian Family Research Council.
I noticed Larry Wilmore used the less weighty word “ironic” rather than “hypocrite” early on in this piece. You know, the Family Research Council is one of the most outspoken organizations against gays and gay marriage, often contending as has Josh Duggar himself, that gays molest our children.
Ironic, because calling them out as hypocrites does not work as evangelical Christianity is based upon hypocrisy whether it be the executions, the wars, the guns, the cheek slapping, the stone throwing and all that nasty right-wing swill they push in the name of Jesus. Not only is hypocrisy something that group has no choice but to worship, the rest of us have become so used to it we don’t care one way or the other.
Josh Dugger has resigned from the FRC. The Duggar’s reality show “19 and Counting” after losing all it’s big advertisers has been suspended by TLC. The sisters Josh molested are quiet as they in a Christian sect that blames girls for being molested. They girls also say they learned to kiss from their Father Jim Bob Duggar. And of course after more than a week of this story gone viral, Fox News has thus far spent 2 minutes on the story which means that the Republican Base hasn’t even heard of this yet.
