Late Night with Seth Meyers : GOP Candidates Can Relate

Late Night with Seth Meyers GOP Primary Hopefuls

On Late Night, Seth Meyers introduces a new segment called ‘Live Free or Die Tryin’ – a look at the 19 potential  GOP candidates, and their efforts to stand out in the New Hampshire Primary.  Tonight Seth catches up with several of the key contenders, who are putting considerable effort into appearing to be relatable.

Scott Walker, rumored to be the lucky Koch Brothers sweepstakes winner, is hilariously running on a platform featuring his shopping prowess, as compared to Hillary Clinton’s elitist non-shopping. This is true…I did not make this up.  Walker told  assembled Republicans that he was wearing a suit from Joseph E Banks, and claimed “Hillary has never been to Kohl’s.”  He further condemned  Clinton, saying ” she hasn’t gone shopping for herself in the last two decades.”  This could sink Hillary unless voters who ‘buy’ the excuse that being Secretary of State excuses her for not getting out  and shopping for  imported bargains, like a true American,

It was courageous of Rand Paul to even stand at the podium after Walker’s slam-dunk, but he was wearing his dungarees in a bid to be relatable too.

Mike Huckabee and Jeb Bush don’t have a pair of jeans between them, so my work here is done. Seth’s anualysis is extremely funny and touches upon much, including  Marco Rubio and the all-important question asked in New Hampshire, “would you attend a gay wedding?’  Hint, never ask Scott Walker to a wedding – of any kind.
