Lesbian Annise Parker Wins Houston Mayoral Race by 5 points and an ax handle

I suppose the reason I include the photo above is because it’s that part of Annise Parker we don’t often see in photo shoots. The photo was taken the day before the election, what you don’t see to the right of the photo is Mothra protecting Japan from Parker who threatened to sit on.

It also reminded me that the women of the house here upon returning from Washington DC and viewing the US Senate from the gallery made comment upon this same ax handle issue regarding seeing Hillary Clinton working the floor.

I also do this to cause trouble. After all, I am a trouble maker. Below is the official front page Houston Chronicle photo.

So what we now have here in Houston is the biggest city with a gay Mayor. Sounds weird at first but it’s much like most big city politics. The city itself is run by Democrats with the surrounding county run by White-wing Republicans. With the County winning in most matters as it controls THE LAW.

This election had two Democrats in a run off, Annise Parker who though known as a lesbian since 1980 has not recently pushed gay agendas, and Gene Locke, a black attorney. Parker won on two issues: The backlash of Locke aligning himself with Houston’s most notorious Christian bigot, Homo-hating Steven Hotze. Though that is a bit unfair as it was Hotze and the Christian Right who aligned themselves with Locke. Also Parker’s final ad campaign push was to paint Locke as a lobbyist and an attorney. Houstonians hate lobbyists and attorneys more than they do Lesbians!

Our present three term Mayor Bill White leaves office next month in a run for Governor up against either Rick Perry or Kay Baily Hutchinson who are presently trying to out White-wing each other. Both have come out in favor of more guns in more bars! Matt and Kitty are rolling over in their graves!
