I suffered a great epiphany in my car one afternoon listening to Rush Limbaugh in the early 1990’s, he had shifted from environmentalist commies, feminazis and pressing the applause / laugh buttons as he read of names of men who had died of AIDS to complaining about political correctness. [Oops sorry that AIDS part was what got him syndication from his local show in Sacramento]
The examples he would use of political correctness would make me “shirk” I think is the right world, and I came to the conclusion that though the PC crowd may be right, the backlash of it will benefit Republicans far far more than it will in getting anything done about it. We now have a true fascist on his way to the White House because political correctness more than any other issue.
I am in the same quandary with this fight about the Oscars and Blacklivesmatter. Being right may be the right thing to do but not always the wisest thing to do.
