Letter to a Progressive Blogosphere

This is only a reminder of what I am sure everyone reading this already knows.

In late 1987 Rush Limbaugh gained syndication. In his move from Sacramento to New York he took the word "Feminazi" with him which soon became the basis of the most successful propaganda campaign in American history: Political Correctness. Over the years I have written many articles on this issue a few of which are contained here.

For twenty years every minute of every day on radio, television and print there is a story or mention of Political Correctness. Other than a few on the Left who do not seem to get it, to all other Americans the syllables "PEE CEE" equal "NAZI-LIBERAL-DEMOCRAT". It is embedded so deeply into the American psyche there is no undoing it.

Right after the two candidates are chosen, the Republican will begin with 45% of the vote. Moderates and Independents who decide elections vote more upon their perceptions and emotions than they do on issues. To compensate for the PC which has kept them on the Right side for a generation, perhaps a little propaganda from the Left is in order.

1) Replace all usage of terms like "conservative", "right wing", "reactionary" and "Religious Right" with "Republican". Republican spokesman Ann Coulter. Republicans for torture. Republican James Dobson. Republicans veto SCHIP. Republican talk show host Michael Savage. Our Republican war in Iraq.

2) For the next year refrain from all accusations of Political Incorrectness. If you need help there are a million other ways to get the point across at the Puerile Name Calling Generator.

3) Pound the truth that Rudy Giuliani’s views on foreign policy, fear mongering, executive supremacy and government intrusion are actually worse than what we have now with Bush and Cheney.

4) Humor is a better vote getter than a scolding.

Republican AM radio’s use of the spoken word gives them an advantage. Not only in having an interconnected network that repeats the same attack phrase thousands of times a day on thousands of radio stations (and to the most watched cable news channel, Fox News), but also able to go much further in their attacks than we for lack of a written record. So maybe getting together on just these four little things can make a difference.

Thank You for Listening,
