In banning Trump, Letterman is referring to Trump’s nasty comments about President Barack Obama’s sterling academic career, and Trump’s implication that it could only have come about due to Affirmative Action. Are we to gather that the wealthiest man in show-biz didn’t fare as well because he was rich and pink?
This pointed criticism is laughable coming from a ‘scholar’ who has reached the pinnacle of his success on "Celebrity Apprentice" after inheriting mountains of his daddy’s money.
Good on Dave for calling a racist when he sees one, despite Phil’s puzzling defense of The Donald and attempt to call Letterman for being ‘too hard’ on Trump – Trump who led the birther brigade, and snide asides about the president’s education. After all, I’m sure there were some who considered Osama bin Laden to be a quiet neighbor, and all-round good family man, but they had less to gain than a possible appearance by Trump on a pseudo-psychological celebrity show, and a short ratings jump.
