Letterman, Obama talk Mitt: The President Works for Everyone, Not Just His Supporters
on September 19, 2012 at 5:00 am
President Obama dropped by David Letterman’s show. After establishing that he has no desire to see Dave naked and other pleasantries, the two addressed the divisive comments made by Mitt Romney. By now we all know what Romney said about ‘those other people,’ in other words, we who aren’t voting for him, and have such high expectations. We expect food, housing, medical care and our own dancing ponies. Furthermore, if disaster struck and he was elected, he made it quite clear that he would not be our president.
President Obama replied in part by saying: “My expectation is that if you want to be president, you have to work for everyone, not just for some.” Obama addressed this issue with Republicans when he first took office. “Even though you didn’t vote for me I hear your voices and I’m going to work as hard as I can to be your President.” Do you know what – I believe him.
