. We’re on the porch with America’s Liberal Redneck Trae Crowder, who has been asked to come down from the Mount with wisdom for liberals, so that we never witness another debacle like presidential election 2016 again. I’m assuming of course, there is another opportunity to vote in an election, but to paraphrase those adorable Osmonds, he’s a little bit country, I’m a little big negative.
The question Trae is often asked, is how in the world do we sophisticated, educated, worldly liberals reach working class Americans? Oops, I think I just let the cat out of the bag on this one. In Trae’s opinion, we liberals do come across as “insufferable, pretentious dicks.” Is that why we failed hugely? Maybe, I don’t see it. We care about all of the right things, humanity, people, love, equality, the earth and the sea, we’re delightful dammit!
Alternately, our redneck philosopher concludes, we could use a tried and true method that never fails to get our own votes – we could LIE to them! After all, they voted for someone who did nothing but lie, and still does.
