If we have an unemployment rate of say 10%, doesn’t that means 10% of the people cannot find jobs because the jobs do not exist? What then?
We have the worst social safety net in the civilized world, and the answer is to make it worse? While Republican bankers steal our homes and our jobs and laugh at us. So we stop giving these MEN the only thing we do give them, food. They are not hire-able, they have no family so support what are their options? I know I know, they should have thought about that when they quit school or sold the crack.
And there is the disconnect. This is the HERE AND NOW, past poor decisions or bad luck is not the issue. The Republican answer, and sadly more and more of the Democratic answer is to send them off to prison. Which not only costs us far more than a better safety net would, but hardens them into angrier and more proficeint criminals who are going get out one day and come a knocking.
