What surprised me in both this interview with Michael Eric Tyson and later with Ice Cube was the words “Political Correctness” never entered into the conversations. Not sure why when Bill Maher’s entire career has been more dependent upon slapping at Political Correctness than any other issue.
In fact the first time Political Correctness hit our lexicon was when a black female college student found GO HOME NWORD notes slipped under her dorm room door. Even then it was not a big thing until she found one last note under the throw rug in her dorm room. Someone got into her room, either a break-in or a friend. Next came the Water Buffalo instance with some white jerk screaming “WATER BUFFALOS” out of his dorm window at a group of overweight black female students. PC came into being over racism. In both instances the perpetrators were punished by the schools.
Soon it began, David Horowitz was given millions of dollars by Pittsburgh billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife to become the clearing house for political correctness. Calling on all conservative groups on campus to send instances to Horowitz who would embellish them and send it all off to Rush Limbaugh, talk radio and the RNC who in turn saturated the nation with it forcing The Media to jump on board or be attacked as having liberal bias.
Political Incorrectness IS a celebration of bigotry. That’s what it is. Why it is so popular, why this election was decided upon that. Muslims, Mexicans, immigrants, Black Lives matter and above all SMART UPPITY WOMEN.
Michael Eric Dyson explained to Bill Maher something I have also been guilty of. No matter one is not a racist, no matter one works with African Americans to alleviate racism over their entire lives, it still does not give liberals PERMISSION to use the Nword. NO. NOT DONE. DON’T DO IT!

Though I have never used the word where a black person could hear it, I often felt that I could get away with using it in context and quotes as to how real racists use the word in speech and thought. NO. I WAS WRONG. And because of Bill Maher’s mistake, it has become a good learning experience for me and others.
I also find myself in trouble over the same thing regarding Jews. Being married to one, having Jewish in laws and Jewish children I often feel privileged to give Neo Cons and Israel a kick in the head. I don’t use any bad words but now even the word “Jews” is bad. Have to say Jewish I guess? You see, sometimes PC goes too far.
But no matter, any derogatory words over immutable cause is wrong. Race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and disability topping the list. Religion is not immutable, though with Muslims and Jews, religion is often intertwined with culture and ethnicity becoming problematic. Especially when it moves to stereotyping stereotyping. All Muslims are not terrorists, all Jews are not cheapskates with big noses, all Christians are not evangelical fundamentalists consumed by matters of sex.
Though Jehovah’s Witnesses are dumber than pea gravel. No music, no presents, no Christmas, no birthdays, no blood, no fun and lots of Hell. It’s much like Donald Trump, impossible to find even ONE GOOD THING about it.
