Mitt Romney seems to ask the question; ‘Who ya gonna believe – me or your lyin’ eyes and ears?!’ (Your memory may be fuzzy too)
The campaign-changing video which left no doubt about Romney’s feelings toward the freebie-grabbing 47% who won’t take responsibility for themselves, was – we now learn, ‘perceived incorrectly.’ Better yet ‘it was taken out of context’ – and if you’re still feeling gullible, the words have been ‘twisted!’
I shudder to think how close we came to having a Romney presidency. If not for the quick thinking of the barman who made the video, and David Corn who disseminated it, a segment of the 47% might now be finding out the hard way just how poorly they ‘perceived’ Romney’s early messages!
