I include this political cartoon by Signe Wilkerson because it is about as wrong as I have ever seen a political cartoon.
The Republicans control the House and the Supreme Court. They will soon control the White House and the Senate. Even today with only nominal control they absolutely will not spend one more penny on schools, cancer research, levees, parks, rail lines or bridges. The GOP jet carries only one bomb, reducing taxes on the rich. And all that extra accumulated wealth, with the help of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision, will a billion or two more into the Right-wing propaganda machine.
It is pretty much over for progressives in this country. The writing was on the wall when even the President of the United States was so afraid of the NRA that he could not even say 20 round clips for handguns are a bad idea. Could not even infer it out of political fear.
The Right shall rule because on their all star team they have God, Grover Norquist, Jesus, a media driven only by share and ALL THE MONEY. The United States of Duh.
