Morning Rackit Feb 18, 2009, No sympathy for conservatives

Every so often something from my morning newspaper jumps out at me and screams BOTTOM LINE! This is an example from Letters to the Editor in the Houston Chronicle that expresses the BOTTOM LINE of the conservative Republican mindset so well I my airbag went off.

No sympathy for ‘losers’

Maybe I’m just a curmudgeon at the ripe old age of 51, but for the life of me I can’t fathom a reason for the story about Valentine’s Day in the county lock-up any more than I can feel any sympathy for the 42-year-old homosexual hustler/dope addict. (Please see “A lovers’ lane for Valentines, but with a pane of separation / Hundreds wait for a few close moments at jail,” City and State cover, Sunday.)
Life is about making choices and living with the consequences of those choices. The vast majority of citizens have never seen the inside of a police cruiser much less the inside of the jail. Why were these stories run? Is it the intention of the Chronicle to generate compassion for criminals and losers? John A. Sagerian, Pasadena

There you have it. I read the same two articles and teared up and thought how nice, even in the face of such adversity and suffering people can still survive and share and love and be kind to one another.

Not so Mr Sagerian who must BOAST to the world what a narrow minded, intolerant, callous, vengeaful, selfish, homophobic bigot he is. That need to shout it out for all to hear.  So proudly. It is like putting crapstick on a pig.

And wouldn’t you know he is from neighboring Pasadena down here in Dumbutt. Where Joe Horn became a hero for shooting a couple unarmed burglar suspects in the back, who were running away on a bright sunny day. Unarmed, in the back, with a 12 gauge from 10 feet away. No indictment. Did I mention they were unarmed and running away and he shot them in the back from ten feet away? What a hero…  Pasadena Texas Joe Horn June Indictment

And you know and I know both of these fine fellows are not only good Texas conservatives and Republicans but have Jesus Christ as their personal savior. That last part puts a crapstain on Red State Christianity.
