Net Neutrality II: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

The Trump administration recently announced plans to roll back Obama era net neutrality rules on equal access. If it feels like deja vu’, it should. We fought and won this battle in 2015, when John Oliver and all concerned internet users were at the forefront. However, because Trump feels a need to reverse every single Obama-related decision, the internet is on the chopping block again – as, in all likelihood, are the eight turkeys Obama pardoned.

If you have five minutes, we may well be able to win this round too. John is onto us, he knows somehow that we internet users all have a few moments to spare. Those who did a Yelp review of the Grand Canyon and found it wanting, those who rudely message the Pope – repeatedly, 4chan users, and reddit folks alike, we all have one thing in common, and if we unite –  we can stop this abomination again.

But here’s the thing. The FCC claims they’re open to public input. There is a complex secret-squirrel page that almost defies entry – but, John Oliver’s staff created a shortcut! Go to gofccyourself.com and instantly find yourself on the comment section of the FCC site, where you can weigh in, and feel free to throw your weight around. Oh, and keep in touch, the FCC loves to hear from you!
