Pope Francis is said to be the Pope of Firsts, and this week he lives up to the title with two kinds of girl trouble! The first instance involves a Vatican cover-up with potentially serious legal repercussions. In the second instance, the Pope counteracts that doozy with a much better ‘first.’ During Holy Thursday Mass, the rebel Pope violated liturgical rules by washing the feet of two women, one of whom was a Muslim. This ceremony has been traditionally male, and including women has been frowned on and banned in some dioceses.
