Oh sure, had either John McCain or Mitt Romney won the White House things would be a lot worse for about 99% of us. Just the wars and two more Right-wing lunatics on the Supreme Court are enough to boggle the mind.
But I do wonder why the obvious example of The Palins having drunken brawls in the Rose Garden was left out by Maher and his writers? It would seem a natural joke. Could this mean The Palins no longer matter? Since the Alaska snowmobile Palin family brawl has there been anything from the Chillbillies at all? Are the Frozen princesses still throwing punches?
