Extreme knitting is about to burst onto the world scene as an extreme sport along with monster trucks and cage wrestling says Jimmy Kimmel! Jimmy may exaggerate a bit, but most of the story is true!
Recently Norwegians sat in rapt attention for over 11 hours, watching the televised action as the best knitters attempted to break a world marathon record. Knitting is no occupation for the weak or placid in Norway. The competitors performed every function from sheering the hapless sheep,to spinning the wool for the sweaters they knitted.
