This was a lucky day for the people of Santa Monica. A gun enthusiast on a rampage with a .44 magnum handgun, an AR-15 assault rifle (with extra upper receiver) and 1300 rounds of ammo ON HIM, managed to kill only 5 innocent people before he was shot and killed by police. With that much ammo and so few deaths, I guess his heart just was not in it.
Though no one was killed another ugly event took place in Newton, Connecticut yesterday – where 6 months ago a man with an assault rifle killed 28 (20 or them under 6 years old) with an assault rifle – where a phone threat put local schools in lock down once again.
“It’s a horrible, evil thing to do to this community. It’s pure evil to put the staff and children through this, it’s just awful. I’m very very shaken up, and quite stunned. I think entire community is. It’s just too raw.” Said Newtown mother Karen Dyer.
Perhaps that is where the Devil really does exist, inside America’s gun enthusiasts.
