I picked this political cartoon of all the NRA cartoons this morning after another Ft Hood, Texas gun slaughter. It is an example of the problem with the people not with the politicians they elect.
Gun control and Obamacare – among many other things – have one thing in common. Whether it be polls or votes most Americans will decry both in general while at the same applaud a long list of specifics concerning both. This process has become one of the great advantages Republicans have over Democrats for they can ignore the facts, the data and the dreaded studies [by smartypants] and instead call Frank Luntz to help them out with a few two or three word soundbites that the intelligent voting public can digest and process without wasting any of their time thinking outside the box vibrating in their pocket.
