Down here in Dumbutt we are laying off police officers. We have 309 schools in which we are laying off teachers. If anyone thinks we are going to pay 309 police officers to sit around in a school all day playing with their cell phones you got another thing coming.
So who does that leave to be running around our classrooms with 9mms, shotguns and assault rifles? NRA trained, sponsored GUN ENTHUSIASTS. Individuals just looking for cause to play shoot shoot gun gun. The cream of America’s crop of Right-wing crazies. Overflowing with paranoia, conspiracies, racism and a hatred of liberals so intense they bleed cordite.
The real issue here with the NRA and this bullcrap is that the schools are a very small part of this problem and the NRA pretending it is all of the problem. Neither is it about criminals getting guns who make up only a small percentage of the carnage. Most gangbangers are not YET criminals. It is about the culture of guns and violence we wallow in.
The good news is in the long run the NRA will eventually lose. After the next one coming at any moment – we are overdue – it could break their bank. I am also noticing the media stepping up to the plate by reporting more gun carnage than they have in the past. But why don’t we hear more about the 100,000 a year who are just shot and not killed?
