President Obama has been known to compare Donald Trump to a carnival barker – on second thought, who hasn’t? However, the self-titled "eloquent masters of verbosity" are not ‘barkers’ they are ‘Carnival Talkers’ and they will thank us to remember that difference. We are informed that ‘Barkers’ is a derogatory term. The showmen who direct you to see "The World’s Only Two-Headed Calf" or "Little Eva, the snake charmer" take pride in their work, and offense at the comparison to Donald Trump and lowly barkers.
Although Trump declares himself to be a ‘very serious person,’ Carnival Talkers have another name for him. Says a Coney Island talker; "If he worked here, he’d be a "self-inflicted freak."
