Dr Vivek Murthy who recently passed muster in a Senate committee vote to become our next Surgeon General is now about to be pulled from consideration by the Obama Administration.
Funny name and funny color aside, Dr Vivek Murthy who spend years as an emergency room doctor has stated that he would like to see the size of ammunition magazines reduced from 20, 40 and 100 as we all enjoy now, to ten or so. He also has stated he would be for background checks and believes gun violence is a health issue and to allow data to be collected concerning it, which is now against the law.
The story is not the NRA, Fox News and Republicans screaming bloody murder about him. Or even that about 90% of Americans agree with him. The story is that he will be pulled from consideration because TEN Democratic Senators are sht their pants afraid of the NRA and will not vote for confirmation.
Hello? Most of these Democrat Senators in the red states are going to lose this off year election no matter, which is going to result in the most divisive two years in American politics since 1860. This is the GOP’s last stand and they know it. Their only hope is God sent medical advancement that can add another 10 years to average life expectancy.
So buckle up, make sure your airbags are working and once again put on your impeachment hat because come February 2015 all Hell is going to break loose.
