Republicans were depressed yesterday over a Washington Post / ABC poll that said 48% of Americans approve of the ACA which is up a few points. But this morning Republicans are wetting their pants with a Quinnipiac poll that says only 41% approve of the ACA.
The pundits all agree that Obamacare will not be accepted until President Obama is no longer President. But I don’t know if it will matter much if the ACA becomes seen as “Liberal Bitch Care” rather than “Uppity Negro Care” (I am being kind with the name.)
The problem with the ACA and the polls is that it does not benefit two thirds of American voters who have employee insurance, Medicare, have no kids in college, have no preexisting conditions and are not sick. All it is to them is a another socialist example of stealing their hard earned money and handing it out to all those lazy people who live downtown somewhere. Which, if you were not aware, is the central driving force of American politics. Follow the money. But I leave it up to you to decide who those lazy people are in the mind’s eye.
