“Obama’s Death Panels are Evil”! This was the proclamation from Sarah Palin to her faithful followers. The same woman who protested too much at a comedians’ comment involving her grown daughter, shamelessly used her mentally handicapped baby and parents to impress the big lie of “death panels” which would decide whether they were worthy of care or not, in other words, to be euthanized. What a hypocritical and irresponsible outright lie!
Do she and others know what they are inciting? Those who react with no further authenticity necessary, believe President Obama’s plan not only includes the ‘death panel” but free insurance for illegal aliens, mandated abortions, euthanasia to save health care dollars, that 119 million people would be forced to change their health care, and of course,that ACORN is behind it. None of this is in the real plan, only the version fabricated by Jerry Fallwell’s group.
In truth, crooked politicians and an army of lobbyists are being paid big money from the largest and most greedy insurance companies in the country to spread this message through any means possible. The uninsured millions will simply stay that way if they prevail. Those between jobs can pay a king’s ransom in Cobra to maintain their insurance while on unemployment. Not likely in real life.
Obviously few are thinking, as I’ve seen more than a few of the ‘town hall crowd’ who are obviously on Medicare, carrying signs saying “keep the government out of my health care.” Pause for irony, and proof that with age wisdom doesn’t always follow.
Do the Palins, Becks, Limbaughs, and the rest truly believe for one minute that anyone who has read the real health care act would be ready to subject ourselves and loved ones to the egregious and dastardly fables they attribute to this plan?
