Del. Dave Albo (R-Va.)took to the House floor Friday to regale his fellow legislators about his disappointing evening at home. Set to a prom music riff, Albo described the scene to much ribald shouting and applause. Let’s just say the evening was cut short when Rachel Maddow loomed onto the big screen TV, and the cat was out of the bag about what Mrs. Albo’s husband had been up to at work, Albo’s wife exercised her right to choose.
Although I applaud the spirit with which she got on board with her protest, I have to wonder why the controversial bill, which would require women seeking an abortion to have an invasive ultrasound, was big news to the good Republican wife. I’d venture to say that most adult Americans have at least a passing knowledge of the infamous bill that her husband is attempting to force upon every American woman.
