Inside the beltway a new phrase is developing. The Republican Party will end up in The Wilderness where they will have 4 to 8 years to get their crap together. But the GOP knowing scripture as they do, also know it will be more like 40 years. And no TV or fast food.
The conservative media is now blaming this election and their coming time in The Wilderness on George W. Bush spending too much. That’s the only problem they tell us!

They are saying all we need to do is reduce taxes, ESPECIALLY on the wealthy, cut social programs and begin no new ones (like any sort of healthcare).

The only elephant left standing after November 4th will be Sarah Palin. She will have moved from small rural state politics to the national stage. And maybe a spread in Playboy or Penthouse.

What is going to happen to the GOP in The Wilderness? God knows but they have a serious problem with their party split down the middle between:
A) wealthy unregulated free market crooks
B) bigoted evangelical morons
Gosh, tough choice!
Kind of like having to decide if you want a squirt of lemon or lime in your eye.

Which I suppose would leave them out there in The Wilderness until the "in their life time" End Days.
