Republican Primaries squash the Tea Party, Cole cartoon

Tea Party fail

I have trouble finding the difference between the GOP establishment and the Tea Party. As far as the party platform goes there seems to be no difference whatsoever. From what I gather the only difference is the intensity of the anger directed at Hispanics. So much so the Tea Party wants to not only round up 11 million Hispanic families to put in concentration camps to await deportation, but to round up any children who were brought here as babies and send them to a country they have never been to or speak the language. All of course in the name of the US Constitution and Jesus Christ.

We have gone through this right-wing-swill phase time and again. The Klan, McCarthyism, Birchers, Moral Majority, Contract with America all petered out. And none of which have had the staying power and profound success for the GOP as political correctness and affirmative action. Over the past generation those two issues have moved about one third of American voters to become what we call INDEPENDENTS who overwhelmingly vote Republican. Well, unlike the registered Republicans, they do may draw the line at voting for Republicans who have found to be cannibals.
